I grew up in Nelson, B.C., Canada, a vibrant artistic community at the heart of the Canadian music scene. From an early age, I was surrounded by some of the greatest live bands, who performed regularly in this cultural hub. This exposure ignited my passion for music and inspired me to actively contribute to it. I picked up the guitar at 12 and spent my teenage years exploring various bands and styles, developing a deep appreciation for tone, style, and the emotional impact of great music.
Driven by a love for the blues, I would often sneak into blues clubs, soaking in the atmosphere and absorbing techniques from seasoned musicians. In my 20s, I committed myself to mastering blues and jazz guitar, studying under the renowned Canadian guitarist Kelly Fawcett. My journey involved deep dives into the styles of legends like Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Albert King, and many others, as well as rock icons such as Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. This intense study and practice helped me forge my own powerful, dynamic blues-rock style.
I completed my B.A. at Berklee College of Music, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. During my time at Berklee, I studied under Norm Zocher for over two years, focusing on private guitar studies. I also expanded my skills into music and film production, equipping myself with a versatile toolkit for the modern music industry.
